Second baby boy quilt

A second smaller baby quilt using much of the same fabric that I used on the first quilt I made for my niece. I also tried a bit of free motion quilting in the center of each of the blocks. I followed a pattern called Molly.

Black & White Flying Geese Quilt

I love the contrast between black & white and this is the second quilt I have made using these two colors only. I decided to make the background fabric split down the middle of the quilt also. One of my guest rooms is black & white and now I have the perfect quilt for it.

Who loves shoes

I made this quilt in 2014 for a good fried of mine who LOVES shoes. I used I shoe panel I found on the internet and then designed a throw quilt around it. It came out cute and she loved it !!

T-SHIRT MEMORY QUILT

As a surprise for Christmas 2014 I made my first quilt out of T-Shirts that my Daughter and I together had cut out for a quilt in 2006 after her high school graduation. 8 years later I was inspired by all the videos MSQC has to offer so I pieced together her quilt and added some photos to go with those moments in time.It was quilted by a local long arm quilter. I also made her a Tote to carry it in while traveling.

Conversation starter Memory quilt

This quilt was made for my oldest Daughter for Christmas 2014. I used photo fabric and printed photos of her as a child through her adulthood. I felt it would be a great conversation starter with her children to '"Tell the Story". Needless to say she loved it! I made her a bag to carry it in for outings with her family. I quilted this at home free motion style. It was only the 2nd quilt I have ever made so there are mistakes along the way, but I managed to get it done thanks to MSQC videos!

I love dogs

I created this quilt 2014 for my second grandson's second birthday - Jan 2015. He loves dogs. I learned to paper piece and incorporated that skill in this quilt. I also tried a bit of free motion quilting. In the plain fabric blocks I either quilted a dog bone or dog house.

Loved the tutorial on this tote and finally had time to make one for me. I used my scrap fabric and chose a cheery fabric that matched to do the straps and lining.

Disappearing 4 Patch

I just finished this quilt for my daughter-in-law who loves summer and the beach. I chose a large pattern to show off the Moda Sanibel fabric. I followed the Disappearing 4 Patch tutorial from MSQC and did a twist on that. I snowballed some of the corners to give the illusion of butterflies. I also chose some complementary fabric to go with the collection. I love the blueberry fabric for the large border and the bright polka dot fabric - like watermelon - for the small border and binding. The back has the Sanibel Adirondack blue chairs on it. I love the challenge of matching the fabric on the back where the seam is. I had it quilted by a local long arm quilter to give the illusion of ocean waves on the quilt.

Double Slice Layer Cake Christmas Quilt

No story, just wanted a Christmas quilt to drape over my sofa and snuggle under in front of the fireplace while watching Christmas movies. Unfortunately, the machine quilting took longer than I anticipated and I didn't finish the quilt until after Christmas but I choose to look at it as being early for next Christmas.

Suzanne

I made this quilt for my dear friend Suzanne to mark her 75th birthday. Suzanne has been my neighbor and friend for 13 years. She has been here for me during some very stressful times and I wanted her to know how much I love and appreciate her. Happy Birthday, Suzanne! The pattern for this quilt is on the cover of the first Mod Block issue from MSQ. I loved this pattern and could hardly wait to find a fabric to do my own version, although I also loved the red one that by Amy Ellis did.
