I started this quilt years ago intending to give it to my husband. Then life happened and it stayed just a finished top. I finally sent it off to Missouri Star to quilt and FINISH. I gave it to my husband for his recent birthday. It now is on the Daddy Chair waiting for someone to need it to cuddle up in.

Alaska Row by Row 2015

My husband and I took an Alaskan cruise this summer and I visited every fabric shop I could find at each stop. I made this small quilt with the row by row kits I picked up. The back is made up of panels I picked up at some of the shops that weren't participating in the row by row.

Confetti Race

This is a take off of the Jelly Roll Race 3.0 quilt. Instead of white triangles, I used white strips. The strips are WOF cut in half so I ended up with more triangles. The triangles are scraps. I made a wavy edge and a patterned fabric for backing. The quilting is straight line in the center and interior border and stipple in the exterior border. This was a fun and easy quilt to make.

Pin cushion

I made this as for a little distraction using a pattern in Block Magazine. I added some definition to its body and some wings. My hubby has accused me of making a VooDoo chicken! He was wondering if I had made a Voo Doo doll of him too...silly man I have had one for years I told him.

Batik Herringbone with "boo boo":)

Very fast and perfect for my batik layer cake... add some BB yardage i had and it was done in a jiffy! Alas, i have no design wall and thought i had this figured out.. but of course, when it was finished.. the boo boo popped out!! Still love it!

Retirement Quilt

When my boss was retiring we wanted to do something special. I used Jenny's Snowball 4 Patch tutorial and our boss's love of everything patriotic to design the quilt. Before putting it together, I had coworkers write their wishes for him on the snowball blocks. He loved it! Sadly, I don't have a full photo of the finished quilt, just a layout of some blocks on my table and a snippet photo that was in the local paper with the story about his retirement.

Wedding quilt

My nephew and his fiance' are going to be married Sept 12, 2015. I decided I would make them this quilt. Luckily I had started this last Fall. In Feb and again in April I needed eye surgery. This summer I was plagued with eye problems and feared I would not be able to finish it. The wonderful ladies at MSQC long armed it for me. I just got it back and by the Grace of God I was able to see well enough the sew the binding on it. The pattern is Lakeside Dreams from the book Fat Quarter Five by Heather Mulder Peterson. The material is from Susan Winget line by Legacy Studios and some scraps I added in to it. The label was one I saw on Pinterest and added my own touches. I am very proud of this quilt!

Hopping down the bunny trail quilt

Made a disappearing hourglass quilt after watching tutorial using a fabric from my stash with bunnies on it. after it was pieced I noticed it made a trail of bunnies down the quilt so I named it Hopping Down the Bunny Trail. It is being quilted to give to my nieces three year old for her birthday.
