I used to quilt many years ago. Recently I moved back home and discovered my sister and her daughter had started to quilt. So I joined in. I saw the quartered stripes tutorial. It intrigued me so I decided to give it a go. I love the way it turned out. And I also loved the backing. I do some hand quilting but I sent this out. Allison did a wonderful job.

I loved the rich colors of this flannel charm pack and had to have it! I made this quilt to keep in the car, but my husband won't let it out of the house and naps under it every afternoon. I like the antique look of the fabric - it gives the quilt a cozy, old-fashioned feel.

Mom's Fabric Starbust Quilt

I was very attracted to this layer cake .... called Brittnay ... I just had to have it ... so I bought it ... and finally started to make HST ... and was going to make a chevron ... but no ... I struggled with many different patterns ... and decided on Jenny's Starburst ... now the interesting part .. is My little sister came over picked up the pieces I had on the cutting table ... and said "oh wow this is Mom's sheets" ... and there it is .. that is why I was attracted to this fabric .. we grew up with this set of sheets .. the blue & white flower ... we all loved that set of sheets .. they were so good and lasted over 20 years. ... amazing how the mind works ... I just need to finish the binding and she is done.... and all mine .. but I will share with my sisters.
